PORTSMOUTH–Ink 4 Pink, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to helping breast cancer survivors feel more at home in their bodies through restorative tattooing, is excited to sponsor a “pink carpet” film screening of “Full Circle” at Cisco Brewers Portsmouth on Wednesday, April 26 at 6 p.m. ET.

Ink 4 Pink was founded by breast cancer survivor Corina Klein in May 2021, and is helping change the conversation around recovery following breast cancer treatment. Ink 4 Pink’s mission is to help subsidize the cost of nipple and breast tattooing, as well as scar camouflaging, for breast cancer survivors who cannot afford to pay out-of-pocket.

“The war with breast cancer can have very serious physical and mental ramifications,” says Klein. “Many breast cancer survivors struggle with a loss of identity and feeling incomplete after a mastectomy. Every day they are confronted with the fact that their nipples are missing, replaced with large scars. While nipple and breast tattoos are growing in popularity as a simple and non-invasive solution for some of the mental and physical trauma experienced by survivors, they can also be costly. It is our belief that no one should have to forgo feeling confident and whole again after recovery because of their financial situation.”

“Full Circle” is a documentary that reveals how mastectomy tattoos empower breast cancer survivors to see past their scars to finally find the confidence to start dating after cancer, fix bad reconstructive work, and simply feel like themselves again.

In addition to a live watch party, the Ink 4 Pink event will also feature a silent auction, appetizers, and a DJ, followed by a live panel discussion/Q&A hosted by Corina Klein, featuring the filmmaker and subjects from the documentary.

Tickets can be purchased at https://www.fullcircledoc.com/ink4pink. For more information about the documentary, visit Full Circle’s site here.
