Pro Portsmouth unveils First Night Portsmouth 2022 logo— with a nod to Portsmouth NH 400

PORTSMOUTH—For the first time since the fall of 2019, Pro Portsmouth unveiled a new First Night Portsmouth Logo for this year’s celebration.

As part of their commitment to celebrating the Portsmouth NH 400, Pro Portsmouth has announced that all 2023 event logo contests will ask artists to include elements that acknowledge Portsmouth’s 400th anniversary. The artwork chosen for First Night 2023 was created by Carolyn Vibbert. Second place went to Kelly Danner, and third to Addie Sargent.

In partnership with Blue Dolphin Screenprint & Embroidery, Pro Portsmouth will feature an online, on-demand First Night shop. Merchandise, including long sleeve tees and sweatshirts, will be available for pre-order, and ready for pickup or mailing in December.

Sponsors, donors and underwriters are also being sought to support the event as well as the annual program of events. The organization needs to raise $20.0K in order to fund the ice sculpture, fireworks, and police/safety detail. “Over the years, First Night Portsmouth has become another destination event on the Seacoast,” said Executive Director Barbara Massar. “We are able to attract and entertain not only our friends and neighbors, but people who travel from all over the country to spend the holidays with us, enjoy the city. But in order to keep the event on the calendar, we need everyone’s support.”

Pro Portsmouth believes that this event is vital to the continued success enjoyed by Portsmouth as a destination for family, friends and neighbors from down the street and around the world.
