Since the roll out of the Town's new trash and recycling carts, YOU have reduced the Town's contamination rate (unacceptable materials in the recycling stream) from a consistent 35% all the way down to 15%!!!!!! Nice work everyone!
Since it costs $84/ton to dispose of household waste and $25/ton for recycling, this translates into real savings to the budget! Not to mention all the materials that are being reuse/recycled and not ending up in a landfill! Keep up the great work, it's paying off!
