PORTSMOUTH—On Saturday,May 28, Warner House will kick off the summer season and the Heavy Metal Exhibit with a whimsical and welcoming event. The Heavy Metal Exhibit celebrates pewter, copper alloy (bronze and brass) in an array of many functional and beautiful items from 1550 onward!
Warner House is located at 150 Daniel St., downtown Portsmouth!
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the garden of Warner House. Here’s the fun to be had:
• Bubble entertainment for children of all ages from 10-11:30 a.m. Wayne and Kali of Sages Entertainment will weave together Warner House history and bubbles to delight everyone and whet appetites to learn more about the house.
• From noon to 2 p.m., local teen band, Scout, will get hearts pounding and feet moving with their “heavy metal” vibe.
• Highlight tours of the house will be available throughout the event.
• A Basket of Family Fun Raffle—wonderful goods, discount cards and more donated by local businesses—will be raffled off during the event. Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
Of course—what garden party would be complete without cupcakes and lemonade—to refresh the crowd!
Admission is free and we hope families, visitors, residents and kids of all ages will join us for a wonderful time.
