The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth issued the following announcement on March 7.
DOVER—Wentworth-Douglass is among the top six New Hampshire hospitals receiving high marks for nurse-patient communication, according to the latest Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems scores from the Center for Medicaid Services (CMS).
Eighty-three percent of patients surveyed said that Wentworth-Douglass nurses “always” communicated well, which is above the national average.
“We strive at Wentworth-Douglass to consistently offer an excellent patient experience and that all starts with good communication,” said Sheila Woolley, Chief Nursing Officer. “We emphasize that patients expect to be well-informed at every step of their healthcare journey. This is a credit to our entire nursing team, and we thank them all for their commitment to our patients.”
The figures come from the CMS Hospital Compare website, located at Medicare.gov.
The five other New Hampshire hospitals are Androscoggin Valley Hospital (Berlin), Exeter Hospital, Littleton Regional Healthcare, Parkland Medical Center (Derry), and Speare Memorial Hospital (Plymouth).
