PORTSOUTH—For the second year, Strawbery Banke presents “Candlelight Stroll Under the Stars,” the Museum’s signature all outdoor holiday event focusing on the lights, wreaths, roleplayers, and magic on the exteriors of the Museum’s historic buildings. The event, which occurs on Dec. 4, 11, and 18, from 5-9 p.m. and Dec. 5, 12, and 19, from 4-8 p.m. throughout the 10-acre site, offers guests the opportunity to experience holiday and seasonal traditions from years past in the historic Puddle Dock neighborhood. Tickets sales begin Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2021, at 10 a.m. at StrawberyBanke.org/events/candlelight-stroll.cfm

Tickets cost $20 for adults, $10 for children (ages 5-17), and free for children 5 and under. Strawbery Banke members receive free or discounted tickets based on membership level. Tickets are limited and are only available online.

Visitors are invited to stroll along candlelit pathways amongst the historic house exteriors, which are adorned with handmade decorations crafted from dried flowers and herbs from the Museum’s gardens. Along the way, visitors call on the many Puddle Dock families as they prepare for the holidays and are greeted by costumed roleplayers and performers sharing seasonal greetings.

“Although Candlelight Stroll is once again all-outdoors, this event remains a cherished holiday tradition for families,” said Lawrence J. Yerdon, President and CEO. “Returning to this year’s event is the “Grove of Holiday Trees,” dozens of holiday trees that have been beautifully decorated by members of the community and local businesses and organizations.”

Additionally, tickets to Candlelight Stroll Under the Stars include the opportunity to view Ice Dance International’s Vintage Skaters who perform at various times in the evening at Labrie Family Skate at Puddle Dock Pond, the Museum’s outdoor ice skating rink.

Strawbery Banke is requiring that all attending the event, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask covering the mouth and nose. If attendees do not have masks, one can be supplied at no cost.

Candlelight Stroll Under the Stars is sponsored in part by Favorite Foods, Fidelity Investments, the New Hampshire State Council for the Arts, the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, Amica Insurance, R.M.
