Town of Chester issued the following announcement on October.

The Town of Chester is seeking bids for plowing at the Transfer Station (50 Dump Road) for the Winter Season of 2021-2022. 

All bids should include:

• Start and end dates of contract,
• Services to be provided,
• Price for work outside of contract time frame, and
• Price per hour for loader work, if necessary.

Please consider the following when creating your bid:

• The Transfer Station staff will clean the snow away from all buildings to make plowing easier and safer,
• The corner by the Scrap Metal dumpster will also be cleaned by the staff as plowing is too difficult,
• The staff will also clean the area between all trailers,
• The area in front of the retaining wall will also be cleared utilizing the skid steer, and
• In addition to clearing the general hot top areas, the awardee will clear the area surrounding the burn pile, yard waste pile, and the concrete and brick pile to assure access.

Please submit your bid by Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 at 3:00pm in a sealed envelope marked TRANSFER STATION PLOW BIDS WINTER 2021-2022, or via email (and it will be confidentially placed into a sealed envelope for the Selectmen to open).  All bids will be opened at the next regularly scheduled Selectmen’s meeting which is likely to be Thursday, October 21st, 2021.
