Joe Sweeney, a public figure active on social media, recently made several announcements via his Twitter account regarding international hospitality and significant development projects in New Hampshire.
On March 30, 2026, Sweeney extended an invitation to Japanese friends by stating: “日本の新しいお友達へ――アメリカではいつでも、バーベキューや野球を楽しみに皆さんを大歓迎いたします” (“To my new Japanese friends—In America, you are always welcome to enjoy barbecues and baseball with us”).
Two days later, on April 1, 2026, Sweeney announced a major business development involving the Trump Organization. He wrote: “Proud to announce, after weeks of negotiations in New York & Florida, that I’ve finally convinced The @Trump Organization to relocate their global headquarters to Salem! This 50 story, mixed use office/residential/hotel skyscraper will define Salem’s skyline for decades. I’m”.
Later the same day, Sweeney discussed another project in collaboration with Ross Berry and Travis for NH. He posted: “After long conversations with @Ross_Berry and @travis4nh, we have agreed to build the exact replica of the Kowloon Walled City. A walkable neighborhood where all you need is within a 5 minute walk – bringing much needed amenities to Weare that they never dreamt of before.”
These statements come at a time when economic development initiatives and international outreach are focal points for local leaders seeking to attract investment and foster community ties.
